Abstract: »Violence against women has been recognized as a violation of human rights, which has far-reaching consequences. The present research aimed to identify the evolution of forms of violence against women ever exercised by a husband or partner in the department of Puno, period 2009 - 2022. The study was non-experimental, the data were collected from the Regional Information System for Decision Making (SIRTOD) of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics [INEI], through a documentary analysis file, and analyzed in Microsoft Excel software. The results obtained show that between 2009 - 2022 in the department of Puno, physical violence has decreased by 31.6%, especially aggressions such as "pushing, shaking or throwing something" (3.3%), "hitting with a fist or something that can hurt" (7.9%) and "slapping and twisting the arm" (5%). Psychological and/or verbal violence decreased by 11.5%, these were "threatening to do something to her" (3.1%), "threatening to leave the house, take away her children or financial support" (4.2%), and "preventing her from visiting or visiting friends" (4.1%). Sexual violence has decreased by 3.7%; however, there was a slight increase in "forcing her to have sexual relations, although she did not want to" (1.9%) and a decrease in "forcing her to have sexual relations that she does not approve of" (0.3%). It is concluded that there is a decreasing trend in physical and psychological violence.« (Source: Purisum)
